the thing is that mapquest and other ones I found have such long directions, I want simple directions so I would just drive without look at the paper so often

You don't have AAA?

I went there last year and AAA gave me great direct routes.

Not like I remember any of them though, but they were quite good.. only a few major highways.

Head west to I-81N to I-90W(thruway) all the way to Buffalo, then follow signs to Niagara Falls, Very simple

Simplest way, not cheapest or shortest, NY state thruway to Buffalo- I190 north to Niagra Falls.

What part of NYC will you be departing from?

If you leave from lower manhattan, you can take the holland tunnel to Jersey. Then take the 1-9 to the 280 -> 80 -> 380 -> 81 (in Scranton) -> 17 (in Binghamton) -> 390. Take the Geneseo exit on the 390 and get on the 63. Take the 63 to Batavia until you see signs for the I90. Take the I90 to Buffalo then look for signs to Niagara Falls. You would want either North or West for all routes. Total tolls should be under $2.

Actually, if you take I-290 at the pay toll to I-190 North, it'll be shorter and simplier 🙂

🙂 🙂

I went to school in Buffalo... coming from LI (but left from NYC because of others). Easiest is what's stated above.
