Gentlemen,
I am looking to expand my DVD collection. My first weapon in my aresenal is DVDPriceSearch.com engine. It is ok, but it doesn't seem to really help you find great Uber low priced DVDs. When I look at this online listing for DVD's its seems like the people with rather large collections only spend 11-12 dollars a DVD. Anyone wanna shed some light on this. Do you guys have any tips?

Gone are the days when Buy.com does Free shipping AND $30 off $150 coupons. Since Buy.com already marks down DVDs at an average of 30-40% off MSRP...Those were the BEST times to build a DVD collection! that's how I built mine.

That's not to say a great deal can no longer be had, but it's going to take a little more work and a keen eye.

There's a TON of DVDdeal sites out there, here's one decent one...

Ahh, the best days were when you could get Reel movies for like $4 each. Coupons and free shipping and the whole bit. *sigh*

You can try checking DVDTalk.com, specifically in the DVD Bargains section of their forums. I find a lot of deals there.

...the deal that John mentioned (below) is also a good one. Here's a thread from Hot Deals specifically about the Columbia House DVD deals:

DVD Pricesearch has a database that shows the lowest price you can find online, and off sometimes. It also lists coupons and specials for several online retailers.

EDIT: I saw that you had already mentioned DVD Pricesearch. Sorry.

I always keep an eye out in the Hot Deals forums for surveys, etc, that pay in Amazon GCs. Most of my DVD collection was paid for by listen-and-rate-music-and-we'll-pay-you-GCs-until-we-go-out-of-business sites, surveys, and the aforementioned extinct buy.com coupons (man I miss those $10 and $15 off coupons).
