sorry to make another camera thread... you guys prob seen enough.

anyway, here my story. I got my gf a canon A95, which i thought was a really good camera. It turn out, she didn't like it on the fact that it too "bulky" in design. She is looking for somehting that is really compact. I told her that i will buy her a fuji finepix f10 (my dream camera, which i planned on getting one for myself). Still, she complain the f10 is too "big". what's a guy to do? Please suggest some other compact model <$300.

here are some i'm currently considering:
Panasonic DMC-FX8S
Canon SD450

didn't konica exit the camera market?

I'd get that one anyways. The GF obviously cares more about form over functionality, and that's not saying the konica can't function either. But that Konica looks kick arse.
But I'd personally go for something really cheap, like a Canon SD200, or a Pentax Optio S(these fit in altoid tins, if you want to use those as carrying cases)

a friend of mine has carried his camera around in an altoid tin for years.

i was really disappointed when i didn't get a mint

what is she looking to take pictures of? Serious photographer, or something to take pictures of friends etc.?

If she is just a point and shoot user then you can easily get away with something as cheap as a canon sd200. You could save some money, and she wouldn't see a differance.

Yup it greatly depends on the print sizes too. It won't make much of a difference at 4x6.
That fuji F10 is really nice though. Pity she doesn't want it.

amazing amazing camera! Me and my girlfriend both have one, its AMAZING!
Sony DSC-T33

The newer models with the slide up covers are trash, I have been told they break off easily.
