I can tell you that this board so far is a bit of a let down and if I did it again I would go with a DFI lanparty. There are too many unresolved issues. I can get mine to run and even get pretty good 3dmark scores but its very expensive and I cannot overclock it even a little bit without it crashing. If I leave it stock its ok although before I upgraded the bios it would crash right in the middle of a game. It has not crashed outright at stock settings since flashing the bios, but if I overclock it even 3% WindowsXP instantly freezes up. I have a highend psu (thermaltake 680w) and it is liquid cooled so heat is not a problem. In fact this board consistantly runs hotter than the cpu! It also overvolts by default so you gotta turn back the voltage and then some to get it into a safe range. I didn't pay $250 to run it stock though! I ordered the corsair 3500 2 gig set so maybe that will improve it, but I already have premium 3200 (OCZ Platinum) RAM so I doubt that is the problem.

ITEM cost
Antec Performance I P180 Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail $124.99

Would go with the Thermaltake Armor case, as it's totally expandable (and already predrilled for water cooling). It's one of the best cases I've seen ever -- the entire front are 5.25" drive bays!!

i really like that p180, ill check that out. I have a thermaltake Xaser3 that i built my old sys in 2 yrs ago. As for those issues with that ASUS thats the first i have seen on that, everyone seems to rave about it for oc, wonder what issue could be

Thing is the Armor case will last you with the main formats for 5+ years. So you can go to and fro AMD and Intel (even the BTX format). Another thing is, with all those extra drive bays you can turn your rig into a true HDD hot swap config and still have room for 2 DVD bays and fan monitor (or whatever front gadget -- LCD/radio, etc.). Even has a vertical PSU placement to eliminate that hotspot on the top of the case. Add that it's already pre-drilled for OCing and is also fanless/silent cooling friendly -- no other case on the market is so flexible.

It's well worth the extra cash to get such a flexible case.

looks like good case, just dont like the look of it really. Not into the windows, glowing etc. I will prob only have 1 hd and one internal dvd so not going to need that many bays really. thx for the suggestion though
