Help Me Delete This Damn...

Ok - so I just merged my 2 partitions with PMagic. PMagic takes all the data from my D partition and puts it into a folder onto the C Drive.
Now, Windows XP creates a Recycler and System Volume Information folder on each hard drive that it does not let you delete. So after the partition merging was done, I had a folder on my C drive that had all the data from the D partition, including that Recycler and System Vol Info crap. Now, I've moved everything else out of the folder... is there anyway to get ride of those two directories so I can delete the folder entirely? Everytime I try, Windows gives me an error - still thinks they are system files or something.
