Okay, I am getting bored on my senior year so I want to take a couple college courses at my local community college. I was going to drop half of my classes at my high school and take three courses at BCC (Brevard Community College). I am taking College Algebra, and two other classes. I'm pretty sure I'll take Speech and Debate and then I'm not sure on the last one. I have the choice of taking Biology 101 or Humanities 2. Both are probably the same level for me, hopefully I'll be able to handle the courses. I am majoring in Computer Engineering, what class would benefit me the most or at least give me college credit?

Take whatever class is harder...take the one you're not gonna wanna take next year when you've got a lot of other work to do.

Agreed. For me, it would be the humanities course.

Bio
Science is sick. You can never get enough Science. If I could, I would be a scientist and study cool sh!t until I die and someone makes a book about me! :)

My vote goes to Biology.
Have you taken a look at the "course plan-out sheet" for cse at the college or university you're going to?
I only ask this cuz being a cse graduate myself I never had to take any bio courses. I did have to
take some humanities as a requirement. Im guessing you can sub the bio for chem or low level physics
courses? If so that sure beats going to stupid 3 hour labs. And for the love of god if you just *happen*
to be one of those AToTers that needs girl help dont take the humanities save that for college where
you can meet people. ;)

I would recommend Biology. Geology is a lot more complicated. I wouldn't recommend it at this stage. Wait for your brain to develop a bit more, if that makes sense.

Go with your intuition. Humanities would be much easier to handle than Biology would be. Do you want to give biology a chance now or would you rather wait?

What Storm said is very useful though. Don't waste your credits. For a Computer Engineering major, Biology is less likely to earn you the credit toward obtaining your major. More likely than not, you'll be required to take physics instead of biology. Physics is usually the required course for Computer Engineering, General engineering, Computer Science and Math majors.

I've heard many good things about Doc Simpson and Karen Ott.
