Intel Celeron® M Processor 370 [1.50GHz, 1MB L2, 400MHz FSB]
with ATI MOBILITY? RADEON® 9000 IGP with 64MB DDR shared graphics memory

or

AMD Sempron(TM) 2800+ (1.6GHz/256KB L2 Cache)
with ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M with 32 mb shared video memory

I'd go for the Celeron M. That's basically a P-M with 1 MB less cache right? And that ATI 9000 would be much better than the Xpress 200M.

I would go the with celeron-M. I heard the celeM runs only a bit slower than teh P-M. the 9000 will be better in games then the integated ati 200m

Processing power, they are about the same, although the Celeron-M could possibly come on top more often than not (its a Dothan with half the cache).

Video wise, the Xpress 200M is actually newer (and presumably better) than the Radeon 9000 IGP, but single channel 32MB versus dual channel 64MB would probably tilt it in favor of the Radeon 9000 IGP.

If you want to make the Celeron-M system better, just do the pin trick and have it run at 133FSB instead of 100FSB (depending on whether or not the notebook supports 133FSB, but since its a Dothan, I would assume so).

Yeah, acutally, the Xpress 200 is better than the 9000. The mobile 9000's are crippled r8500s, both have only 2 pixel pipelines, but at least the xpress has DX 9 support. video ram shouldn't make that much of a difference, they both suck alot.

the XPRESS 200m is equivalent to an X300 SE-

I think the Sempron would do better, but isn't optimized for mobile enviroments (power savings) as the Celeron.
