I am looking to buy an mp3 player. What I want is the following:

- Price < $200 CND
- At least 128MB storage (flash or built-in)
- FM Tuner & Recorder
- Voice Recorder
- Store or transfer any file type
- Good sound quality
- Sturdy case (no cheap plastic)
- Acts like a removeable drive

Things that would be nice to have (in the given price range), but not necessary:

- Aluminum case
- Rechargeable batteries

I have my eyes set on these two for the moment:

1) iRiVER iFP-790T 256MB w/ FM & Recorder $169 CND

Software is a must for #1 to transfer music ... I don't like it anymore.

2) iRiVER iFP-180T 128MB w/ FM & Recorder $138 CND

This one acts like a USB drive, but has USB 1.1 only (I don't think that makes much of a difference...right?)

The prices are from Canada Computers

If any of you guys have anything better/similar to recommend, just shoot! 🙂

Anyone?

I just looked up one more from the same company. I know I'm asking a lot from an inexpensive mp3 player, but that's the whole point of these forums...to make your job easier by learning from others' experiences.

Go with the 256mb, 128 is just too little. If you can afford it go with the HD ones; H320 is good.
