Help me decide, Blu-Ray or a 1440x900 led screen?

Basically I can get a Dell Studio 15 w/

P8600 C2d
Ati HD3450
4gb ram
backlit keyboard
350gb hdd

but when it comes down to the final two options... I'm stuck on what to do

either go bluray drive for $150, or 1440x900 screen for $150 as well

Thing is I'm leaning towards the screen because the blu ray drive will get cheaper and I could replace it in the future

Agree! Also, you will use the LED monitor all the time - the BluRay only occasionally.

Go with the monitor. You can always get an external BluRay device and it'll be used less often than the screen.

Don't think you'll be able to replace the drive cheaply in the future though. Many laptops have been using weirdly configured optical drives, in which you can only really get a replacement from the OEM, which will end up costing you a good bit of money.

Edit:
Internal BluRay drives for under $100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...StoreType=&srchInDesc=

Just stick it in an external enclosure with an e-SATA connection and you'll be good to go.
