help me d/l "art" again!

Okay, here's the problem. I'm having trouble d/l'ing images from the internet. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes after I go through the "save" dialogue, instead of actually saving the file, it comes up with a little window that says, "The system cannot find the file specified." with an Okay button. If I refresh the page, then try to save again, it'll save the image properly.
I didn't install anything recently. I don't think I changed any settings, either.
So, what's up with that, eh? I'm using IE 6.0.2600 and Win XP Pro.

In IE. Got to Tools> Advanced. Try resetting your default options. IF that doesn't work, there's a way to reset IE to default install, but I forget how.

Anyone else have an idea? Oh, if you want <ahem!> "art", try to use the usenet. Newsgroups are much faster. 😛

You didn't specify what "save" dialog you are using. The way to save any image on the web is to right click on it, then use the "Save Target As" command.

Maybe someone put a "V" chip in your system? 🙂

Thanks for the replies!

dude:
I just checked my "advanced options",and they're the same as they were before. Any option is specific, do you think?
And, yes, newsgroups are fast. But it's also a mixed bag where you don't know what you're getting...

corky-g:
I usually save by going to the little image toolbar that pops up over images, which is the same as "save picture as" in the context menu. "save target as" only works if it's a link, like from a thumbnail, afaik, because it's not an option if there's just the picture itself.
