Not on a Toshiba laptop it won't. I've field-stripped those things down to the motherboard and left the BIOS battery disconnected for 24 hours and the password remains.

Failing that, Toshiba have hinted to me quietly that there is a loopback connector available for the parallel port which you have to attach and then boot the system while holding a certain key down. If you call them and say that you're calling backabout the loopback connector for BIOS password clearing that a colleague told you about
then they should give you that info.

Not on a Toshiba laptop it won't. I've field-stripped those things down to the motherboard and left the BIOS battery disconnected for 24 hours and the password remains.

Yeah ive tried toshy99, didnt work.
Yeah ive read about the parallel port trick, but didnt think it would work + i dont have an old parallel port i can take apart. Maybe i could just stick wires in the right holes?
