Help me crack the password of my lappy!

Laptop: toshiba 1110
bios version: phoenix v 1.20

Ive tred many password crackers but none of them work!

This bios has a user password and a setup password, maybe tahts why?

Ive googled for over 2 hours now with no avail

I put a setup password when i got it last year, but dont remember it, i only remember the user password

if you pull the CMOS battery and let the junk drain, would it reset the notebook ?

I dont wanna take my laptop apart.. :S But probably,, its probably an onboard battery anyways

Pulling the battery won't help if the password is stored in flash memory.

I think your only choice now is to contact Toshiba. They should have a way to reset the password.

And they will say:

Unfortunately we have no way of telling if you have a stolen laptop.

Hope you're still inside the warranty, have your proof of purchase, and are willing to fork out the dough for password recovery.

I know on Sony laptops, pulling the battery doesn't clear the power on password. Just call Toshiba and ask them. I had to do that with my old Sony, and about 5 minutes later (including hold time) I was back to working.

you don't google right
you can find how to clear the bios password for any laptop on the internet, you just aren't searching correctly

Its not that hard and thats the only way you're going to get rid of the password.


Edit: Unless its on flash memory, as said above. Didn't think of that, or read the whole thread. Doh.

Hold the left shift key while booting.

Depending on the laptop, they may have to replace the system board.
