This thing is driving me NUTS! It's a Zyxel Prestige 624R-11, which I think is the same thing as the Netgear RT314. I have been trying for the last week to get my Half-Life server up and running behind this thing. The server can connect fine to the internet so I know it's at least working in that aspect. I tried putting port 27005, 27010, and 27015 in menu 15 and putting the server's LAN IP there, but that didn't work. I thought that's all you had to do??? After that didn't work, I tried making a filter set that sent would send those ports to my server's IP. That didn't work either. I then tried to use them both together, but that was a dead fish in the water as well. I got so frustrated that I wanted to turn the thing into a bridge and connect it to the WAN port on my Linksys router I had sitting in my closet. I turned off IP and IPX routing, SUA (Zyxel's menu 15), and turned bridge on. In menu 24, it said the thing was in bridge mode. I plugged it into the WAN port only to come to another dead end. I turned off DHCP server on the Prestige and assigned an IP to the WAN port on my Linksys router. Guess what? I'm sure you know by now. I telneted back into the Prestige to try and find out what WAN IP it had. It said it was what I had assigned for the LAN IP for the Prestige. So at this point, I'm like WTF? This damn thig is starting to make my hair fall out. :( Can someone either tell me how to get my server running through this thing as a router or how to castrate it and use it as a bridge to plug into my Linksys router? Please use examples such as specific IP's cuz I don't think my brain can handle any simplistics at this moment because of the stress headache I have.

Okay, this is what I am trying that is not working. Under Menu 21 (Filter Set), For Filter Set #1 (my only filter set) I put these entries

Filter #: 1,1
Filter Type= TCP/IP Filter Rule
Active= Yes
IP Protocol= 17 IP Source Route= No
Destination: IP Addr= 192.168.0.2
IP Mask= 255.255.255.0
Port #= 27004
Port # Comp= Greater
Source: IP Addr= 0.0.0.0
IP Mask= 0.0.0.0
Port #=
Port # Comp= None
TCP Estab= N/A
More= No Log= None
Action Matched= Forward
Action Not Matched= Check Next Rule

Menu 21.1.2 - TCP/IP Filter Rule

Filter #: 1,2
Filter Type= TCP/IP Filter Rule

Port # Comp= Less
Source: IP Addr= 0.0.0.0

2 Y IP Pr=17, SA=0.0.0.0, DA=192.168.0.2, DP<27016 N F N

Esentially, I have opened ports 27005 through 27015 and have them forwarded to 192.168.0.2, correct? Anyone see any problems here? When I try and apply Filter Set #1 to Remote Node Profile #1 (ADSL connection), I cannot get on the internet. Why is this happening?

This is what it is set like that kills my connection. When I remove 1 from the protocol filters, everything if fine except my server can't host the game. Here is my other setup info so that everything is at hand:

There's your problem. You have to define which IP/ports your router has to forward to under the SUA server settings.
ie:

Port # IP Address
------ ---------------
1.(hl ports) (Internal IP hosting the halflife server)
2. 0 0.0.0.0
3. 0 0.0.0.0
4. 0 0.0.0.0
5. 0 0.0.0.0
6. 0 0.0.0.0
7. 0 0.0.0.0
8. 0 0.0.0.0

You can also alllow for range of ports (ie: 27000-27500).
