Help me choosing a new pc

Hi every1. i am an intel user, want to upgrade so plz can any1 tell me which is better, amd or intel. my budget is not very big & i live in pakistan so i also dont have a big range of products. i can afford an AMD 64 3200+ or an intel 3.2 HT. with amd i will get asus A8n-E board and with intel a 915, also with amd i will have to use DDR as compared to DDR2 in the case of intel, will this make a performance adge for intel. plz tell me which package will have the more juice. also recommend which pci card should i buy. asus 6600 gt (128 mb) or ati x800 (256 mb)

Intel if you are a hardcore video editter/encoder, AMD for everything else

Not anymore. AMD is great a t lot of things today, only looses a little in some (not all ) video encoding types.
