Ok both these cards are the same price so which one is better with no overclocking ?

Abit RX800 XL-256EDVIO Radeon X800 XL 256MB Dual DVI VIVO

- ATI® Radeon? X800 XL 3D Graphics Accelerator
- VPU Clock: 400MHz
- 0.11u Process Technology
- 256MB GDDR3 DDR Memory
- Up to 16 extreme parallel pixel pipelines

Why does it say up to 16 pipes? How many does it have at stock? What's the memory speed? How many vertex shader pipes?

Or

Sapphire X800GTO² 256mb GDDR3 PCI-E VGA/DVI/TV-out Lite Retail

* ATI Radeon R480 Core (As used in X850XT PE graphics card)
* 400MHz GPU Clock Speed
* 256MB 980MHz GDDR3 memory accelerates the latest cutting edge 3D applications
* 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface
* Twelve pixel pipelines (standard)
* Six programmable vertex shader pipelines

All XL's have 16 pipes. The gto has 12 pipes. Both have 6 vertex pipes, and both have the mem clocked at 980mhz ddr. Without modding and oc'ing the XL is faster. But hardly anyone buys a gto2 to keep it at stock, and a unlocked and oc'd gto would be significantly faster.

Since it doesnt sound like you are going to be overclocking or unlocking pipes the X800XL would be faster out of the box.
