am interested in some opinions - I am not a gamer, I am a Matrox old school 2 D quality guy... LOL, but it's true. I do some DV video editing with Adobe Premiere, and I plan to install VISTA.

LCD DVI connected monitor: Viewsonic vp2030b
Antec Sonata II case + power supply.

Here are my narrowed down choices - your thoughts appreciated:
1. GIGABYTE GeForce 7600GT 256MB I

2. XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB

3. XFX GeForce 7600GS 256MB

4. Any others I should consider?

Thanks!

Those cards are massive overkill for what you're doing. I just build an office PC for a client, with the following :

AMD 3800+ Single-core AM2 Processor
VIA AM2 Mobo w/DDR2 & PCI-Express x16 Support (Gigabyte, I think)
1GB PC4200 DDR2 Memory
250GB Sata Hard Drive
128MB (512MB available through Turbocache or whatever) PCI-Express x16 Geforce 7100GS Video Card
Samsung 18X DVD+-RW
400W Rosewill ATX Case/PSU
22" Viewsonic Widescreen LCD

Fwiw, the 7100GS runs Windows fantastic, including HD video rips, the guy watches House, Lost, Heroes, etc, on avi format, and at 1680x1050, it's smooth and crisp.

$38.99!!
