I'm planning on having a PC built. I will be purchasing an Antec SX840 400w case, A7V266-e with raid, and AMD XP 1600. Yes, I plan to slightly overclock or would it be dangerous with these HSF's. Not only is the below listing my only choices but no further description is provided.

Global win WBK68
Global Win WBK 38
CoolerMaster DP56I11A
ThermalTake Volcano6 4500rpm
ThermalTake Volcano6 7000rpm

Thank you for your expertise.

Are you limited due to the place your ordering from? You could do much better for not too much cash.

Unfortunately, yes I'm limited to these choices. They are free.

I might be able to convince them to put on a HSF of my choice but I'm sure this won't be easy.

As far as later removing the HSF that comes free with the PC I don't feel comfotable in doing this myself.

The above choices are that bad, huh? What is the best of the worst?

yup, I second the WBK.

The coolermaster is the same one used for retail AMDs, and they suck, especially with that 10mm thick fan. The Volcanos are decent, but I'd prefer Global Win over Tt.

According to this, the order would go from

Thermaltake V6 7K
Thermaltake V6 4.5K <- performs same as the one just below it, but quieter. According to above link, of course.
GlobalWIn WBK68
GlobalWin WBK38
CoolerMaster DipPhlit :)

I do not trust Tt products on my personal computers. I've got Alphas on all 3 of my computers at home.

If noise isn't an issue, then the wbk38. Well, you might not think it's an issue until after you hear that little screamer. After that, take your pick of the wbk68 or the coolermaster. Like Flowerman, I don't trust Tt fans.
