Help me choose between these four speaker sets...

Looking to buy a 2.1 speaker system for my comp. Will mainly use it mainly for music, and some movies and only some slight gaming. Here's what I've narrowed it down to...but I could use some help...thx.

Logitech Z4
Altec Lansing VS4121
Logitec X-230
Creative I-Trigue 3300

Out of those, I'd take the X-230 because it actually has a crossover network to remove/limit lobing from multiple, vertically alligned drivers.

i went down to Circuit City to listen to them and they sounded OK but maybe it was just speaker placement. I was testing them out watching Star Wars Episode 3 DVD.

I have the Logitech Z3e... I think the Z4 replaced them a little while ago. I really like them, pretty good sound quality, considering I got em for only $70

second that, Z3 i/e rock. although the Z4 has the bass and the volume controls on the wired remote.

Z4s sound less bassy to me and do not look as cool as the z3s.

have you considered the z-2300 (thx version of z3) They cost about $99 - 150. Buy.com had them for $70 AR

Well, I would pick the Klipsch Promedia 2.1.

But since you didnt list that I guess I'd pick the Z4's. Logitech is still a better brand than most, and I believe the Z4's are considered to be reasonably well powered in the 2.1 arena.

Musical = accurate reproduction of a recorded performance of music usually using quality recordings of Jazz, Symphonic, small classical group and voice as testing tools. IOW, listening to quality music thru them for hours on end won't be a trying experience. Not as good as listening via a few thousand $$s worth of quality audio gear, but easily tolerable.

You see, that' still a little bit nebulous. The problem here is Logitechs tend to measure the best (actually fall just under a +/-5db window), but they certainly don't *sound* the best. The term is nebulous because there's more than just "waveform reproduction" in this process of "accuracy." The question is, what are these other things?
