I am buying a house in Lavon, TX next month and am looking for internet options. I've hit the major sites (broadband offers, etc) and can't find a large internet company that has made it's way out to the area. I use sprint for phone service, and their mobile broadband is out there and I can set my phone up as a router when I'm home (free on top of what I already pay). I don't want to pay an exorbitant amount of money only to have ridiculous down/up speeds. I'm just out of reach of both Spring and Clear's 4G networks, so maybe they'll expand to the area soon. Verizon has fiber lines down in the neighboring city (Wylie), so I would imagine they will make their way here soon, but looking for something in the interim, as I'm sure the city has to hit some sort of metrics before it becomes feasible for them to expand to the area.

Zip code for the area is 75166.

P.S. I know it's highly unlikely that someone has experience in dealing with smaller internet companies in the DFW area, but on the offchance they do, I'm sending out an SOS! Thanks :)

Verizon has already said they are not going to expand any more then what they have planned. So unless they already have rights in your area and started work, its not going to happen.

Local phone company dsl, is probably your best bet if they have a c/o close enough, otherwise try the cable company. those are the cheapest options, or you can get direcway from directv.
