The CoWon iAudio m3 looks very cool.. Smaller than an ipod!!!

Cnet review - http://reviews.cnet.com/Cowon_iAudio_M3/4505-6490_7-30842848.html?tag=pdtl-list (they give it a "very good" 8.7 out of 10)
Holy crap that thing looks awesome. Respectable battery life as well for something so slim. I'm seriously impressed. If RedChairSoft comes out with software for it and the price is reasonable, I may be tempted to switch from my Karma!

Yes, the sound quality is better than the iPod, it's smaller, it's sleeker looking (though that's just my opinion) and has a nicer remote... It's also cheaper too (in the U.K. at least)! I can't wait for this to come out in the U.S.

I have been thinking about getting a MP3 player for a while, and I would like a FM tuner (an AM would be awesome, but have never seen one on a MP3 player). I would prefer a smaller size as opposed to volume of music. I would use this for going to the gym, lawn work and the such; therefore, a smaller size would be nice.
I have the 128MB version (iFP-180T) of that player, and I love it. It's great for jogging with. I purchased the stretch armband from iRiver (for about $20 shipped, IIRC). My only complaint is that it needs more memory, but you're thinking about the 256 MB version, so :)

FYI, that's actually an older model. iRiver has a new version, which is a shaped a little more ergonomically (which is no big deal for me, since I just keep it on my armband), and has a blue backlit LED. I'm not sure what other differences there are.

hows do you go by replacing ihp 120 batteries?

somesay 80$ for battery replacement in an ipod!? thats too much money for a battery...! and the prices on ipods are almost the same anywhere you buy one their priced worse than game consoles which are rarely on sale.

I have an archos Jukebox 10gig and it is probably the worst of the HD based mp3 players, the batteries still get 8-10 hours of play and it has worked everyday, but it freezes a lot and I can't even walk to school with it in my back pocket without it freezing and me having to restart it, you have to use the alternative software with it because the stock software sucks, with that said, if it sits in the backpack you could wal all day and it won't skip.

If I was to buy again I would purchase an iPod, I love the instant on features and the interface is the best I have ever seen. I would also consider the dell, although I am optimistic that apple's 4g ipod will have better batteries, of course, apple is known as being a little bull headed.
