Help me choose a hard drive for my raid setup!

Currently I have a Western Digital 27.3 gig which features 7200rpm and Ultra ATA-66. I want my next system to have a raid setup, but the problem is that these drives are no longer in production. Can I use a different brand HD and still acheive a raid setup? If so, which HD (that is currently available) should I get?

uhh. its not recommended. the disk speeds and access times and write speeds what not are different. its recommended that u use the same model. if not, ibm 75gxp
