Help me choose a case

All 3 cases have really solid reviews, all have > 5 HDD bays, and all are in the $150 price range.

From what i can tell, the P180 seems like it would be the quietest, while the 900 would probably have the best airflow. The 570 got a "10" review in Maximum PC but i couldn't really see what was so special about it. I actually think the P180 has the best styling.

Anyone have any insights into these cases? I'm really leaning towards the 900 tbh

Edit:

Prices (including tax and S&H):

900: $115
P180: $130
570: $200

Well I would never get a case with a door on it. It covers the front intakes if it covers the whole face, and everyone I know who has got a case with a door has broke it off. If you want a clean face get a case with stealth drive bays.

Also instead of having me find your cases put links to the manufactures web page.

Yeah i saw the 182...but 170 + 23 for shipping + tax is way too much. I'd be almost doubling the cost of the case. Found a problem with the 900....no fan filters...and you can't turn off the lights. They won't bother me but i KNOW they'll bother my gf and if she can't sleep NO ONE will.

As far as the 180 goes, it's $8 more for the black case. I dont really have much of a preference but for some reason it seems like people think there's a better chance of getting the newer revision if you go with black so i may do that. I'm actually now leaning towards the 180. I still don't see a compelling reason to go with the aurora. It's ugly too imo.

I have the 900. It's a great case if you need great cooling on a very study platform. This thing is quieter than my p160, even though the p160 had 2 120mm fans and this has 5 120mm + a 200mm fan. The lights do not stand out at all during the day. During the night, they cast a nice blue glow on the inside of the case. The front ones are, however, strong enough to make a honeycomb blue glow on the opposite wall. If they are really intrusive, you can switch them out for 3 dollar yate loons from jabtech.

As for cable management, this case can be managed without drilling holes. Antec makes slots for zipties on between the motherboard and drive bays. The PSU on the bottom is nice, and there is a place to put unused cables. Makes a great pair with my Corsair 520hx.

I gotta say this case really grew on me. I didn't like the styling too much at first, but now I love it. I thought the chunky slant on top due to the 200mm fan there made a useless cupholder platform, but now I actually like it, as it makes a great docking bay with connectors next to it for my camera and ipod. I got my 900 for 90 dollars when compusa had it on sale with no rebate, and Frys recently had a sale with this case 60 dollars AR. For that price its a steal.

Hope that helps

I have both the 180 and 900. I like the 900 better although drive mounting is worse. I got the 900 for $59 AR also so it was a better deal.

thats like a $200 case...just an fyi, the p180B goes on sale for around $70 to $80 every month or so.

Yeah, P180B is really nice, also worth noting that its door can open a full 270 degrees so that it can rest against he side of the case.

Thanks guys, ended up with the P180B for $100AR. I saw it for $79 a few weeks ago but took my time and the sale ended. Overall not a bad price though.

Just wanted to let you know that Antec updated their Antec 900 case again.

It now includes holes for water cooling and HD audio in/out on the case.

I love the look of the P180B. And no annoying LEDs on the front to keep you awake. It's also super quiet. This is the quietest rig ive ever had thanks to the SFlex fans.

I have the P180B (newer version with better wire management), and it's a wonderful case. I was also considering the 900 and the Aurora 570. But, I went with the P180B because I like the minimalist look without all the flashy lights. As the poster above mentioned, it's VERY quiet, especially if you replace the Tri-Cool fans with Nexus or Papst fans.
