My Roommate's little brother was robbed yesterday. They took both his consoles, and about 900 dollars.
When the 'litte brother' returned home he was shocked to find so few other items stolen. The money happened to be taken precisely from his room in such a fashion that it appears the theives had previous knowledge of it's where-abouts .
So to make things even more interesting, 'little brother' has a message on his cell phone that came from a call he missed near the end of the window-of-time available to break into the house without confronting anyone.
The call was made, clear by accident, from the cell phone of someone whom 'little brother' is "aquaintances" (sp?) with. The cell phone must have gone off in this person's pocket and 'little brother's' number happened to be the lats number called.
The message is rather muffled but there are a few clear statements concerning a large sum of money, sneaking into somewhere, and possibly concerning the missing consoles (XBOX & PlayStation2) .
So I recorded the message using my PC's modem...dialing into 'little brothers' voice mail....and retreiving the message.
I have tried cleaning it up, and amplifying it, with CoolEdit Pro. It hasn't been extremely beneficial. The improvement has been very moderate.
Can anyone suggest a solution for analyzing the audio on this recording to gain a better picture of things said ?
