The only way would be to have a generator and try and suppliment with alternative energy(wind, solar).

definitely solar power. The thing with developing (ok slightly) an island like that is you would have to cut down a LOT of trees... from the pictures the forest looks pretty dense. On the up side, couldn't you reuse a lot of that wood in building your house? I guess it would be expensive to have it all milled. At the very least it's firewood for heating or maybe steam power!

I say we create helpmebuyanisland2.com and start ponying up for half moon cay. my lord. Let's create a high tech island and have lan party getaways, etc...
