People have been sneaking stuff from our garage, so we want to catch em.

All we need are 2 cameras, and for it to be able to motion detect. I've seen some stuff on ebay, but I question the quality and legality(counterfeits) of some. Any idea on what's good and what sucks?

x10 stuff has worked for us, although an IP based camera system may be the around the same price and you'll have a digital recording. We use the linksys IP based cams here at work and they have decent resolution- not too sure how they faire under darker conditions though.

I just purchased the Q-See 4 camera 120gb DVR security system from Costco. They have it on sale for $299 right now. I'm having similar issues with neighborhood kids. I can't wait to bust their asses.

I bought an OTS 2 camera, wireless, color, nightvision camera set from walmart. It had a rcvr that could accept 4 cams, and it would just cycle through however many cameras it was set to.

It was decent reception on one cam, bad on the other. I returned it after t/s and finding a bad camera.

I think I'll go with an X10 system next.
