Help me buy a sofa! What are some good models? I want to spend about $800!

I went to macys furniture store and saw a few sofa's I liked. But I am unfamiliar with their sofas...
Pottery Barn has some nice ones, IKea stuff seems cheap...
What is a good brand sofa out there?

Leather, or cloth? If leather, you're gonna have to go ghetto with it. If cloth, you have a little more room for flexability.

Lane is a nice american based sofa maker with comfortable couches and very nice selection of styles and fabric.

Why do you say that?

unless you go uber-expensive(such as European leather) it just looks goofy. Very rarely can a mass produced sofa look good. Custom ones can be done tastefully, though.

Sofa set I'm buying soon

It's a Lane sofa with recliners built in each side. We're getting the sofa for $799 and the chair and a half for $550. They are comfortable, and cozy, which is what we want.

Oh and iamwiz82, I don't buy furniture to look pretty. I buy it because it's comfortable. My leather couch fits that bill and it was only $1200. It also is more durable than many cloth couches.
