Help me buy a 32" - 42" plasma TV! :D

I think the world is coming to an end. My parents want a plasma/LCD television for the kitchen.
Budget is about $4000-5000.
HDTV would be cool but not necessary.
Looking more for reliability over features.

If anyone knows some good online stores or B&M in Los Angeles where I can get one that would be great too.

HAHAHA funny thing is, yes, my dad watches bloomberg every morning over cornflakes. He is old and can't see too well.
