Hello,

first i would like to thank everyone again that helped me last year when i was trying to build PC. I decided then that i was gonna wait another year, so im asking for your help again.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Gaming

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

1800€

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

Slovenia, all from this site http://www.pcplus.si

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

Intel processor and AMD graphics card

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

/

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

Default

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?

I would like to use 2560x1440

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.

As soon as possible

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?

I need Windows

I would ask you to please try to include these things in build:

-Intel processor, 4th generation

-This graphics card, http://www.pcplus.si/strojna-oprema...ica-sapphire-dual-x-r9-280x-3gb-gddr5-oc-lite

-16GB RAM

-2TB Hard Drive

I would appreciate your help, thank you very much!

Do you need to include the 1440p monitor, keyboard, and mouse in that budget?

Thanks for reply mfenn, sorry about posting twice. I created this new thread because i tought i would get more replys this way but i didnt get any for a while so i posted again in the old one.

To answer your question, no. I have monitor, mouse, and speakers, i need a new keyboard but ill pick one later when ill have new PC (cheaper than online).

OK, how about this:

i5 4670K €228
ASUS Z87-Plus €181
Kingston DDR3 1600 8GB x2 €134
Sapphire R9 280X Crossfire €628
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB €171
Toshiba 7200RPM 2TB €90
ASUS DVD Burner €17
LC Power Legion 1000W €163
Antec Nine Hundred €122
Titan Fenrir HSF €40
Total: €1774

Notes:
- I included an overclocking-capable CPU in case you want to do so in the future. The price difference is negligible relative to your budget
- I would have rather gotten a less expensive motherboard, but the Z87-Plus was the least expensive ATX board that had PCIe x8/x8 support
- Case selection is also pretty limited, the Nine Hundred is the least expensive one I'd be comfortable doing dual-GPU in.
- The PSU choices are on the site are kind of all crap, the 1000W I picked out is way overkill, but the lower-end choices couldn't actually deliver their rated wattage on the 12V. Can you buy from a different site in the EU?
- Whether or not you actually need R9 280X Crossfire is somewhat debatable depending on the types of games that you play. However, you have the budget for it and it will ensure that you can max out all games at 1440p.

Thank you mfenn, for taking the time and effort i really appreciate it.

I wish to buy all the parts from this site because i asked them if they could put it all together because i have no idea how to do it. I chose this site because im the most familiar with it, im not sure about others.

I want to buy this build, unless you think that case selection and PSU are that bad that i should look elsewhere?

I'd just get Windows 8.1.

I would very highly recommend ordering from www.hardwareversand.de. They have 20 eur shipping to SLO, case included. While their prices and selection should easily beat the shop you linked, you can get even better prices to the site through www.geizhals.de. I would post a build recommendation but I'm posting from my phone at the moment. The only downside is potentially slower delivery (about 1 to 2 weeks) and that you won't be paying tax to Slovenia ;)

Not sure if this applies internationally, but there are two Windows you can buy. OEM/System builder or full-retail.

You want the OEM/System Builder one if that is an option. Same Windows, just cheaper.

Looks like the "home" version. Only real difference for most users is:

1. Can't join a domain, like in many businesses.
2. Does not have Remote Desktop feature. You can get around this with VNC if need be.
3. Does not have the Bitlocker feature.

For most people those are non-issues.

That price came out to $130US. The OEM version of a similar version is about $90US here?

But I have no idea about which versions of Windows they sell internationally.

IMHO the normal Windows 8 non-Pro (ie. "home" though it's not called that anymore) is totally fine for most people. I'm not sure what "DSP" means though. Given that I don't read the language, it's hard to tell if that's indicating that it's the OEM or full retail version.

In the description it says its a home version, but without advanced security and networking and i think its not OEM. Ill get this one since other options are all Pro version.

Sorry for the stupid question, but i should get two GPUs, R9 280X not just one ? I just want to make sure.

It's not a stupid question. :) My build is spec'ed out with two GPUs and a dual-GPU capable PSU and motherboard because you have the right budget and monitor resolution for it.

Now, do you need two GPUs? Not unless you want to max out every single game at 1440p.

DSP OEI = Delivery Service Partner Original Equipment Installer

Seems to be some kind of System Builder OEM license.

So, i have another question. They just wrote to me that the price for the Kingston DDR3 1600 8GB wasnt updated yet and that it now costs 80€
(previously 66,86€). They recommended me this one http://www.pcplus.si/strojna-oprema...hyperx-blu-8gb-1600mhz-ddr3-khx1600c10d3b1-8g

Should i buy the one you recommended despite the price or should i get the one they recommended ?

The one they recommended is actually slightly better and now apparently costs less. Go for it.
