That case and PSU sounds sketchy to me. Couldn't possibly be of very high quality.
I was about to say the same thing. The rest of the setup looks good though.
I would go for this case instead. It puts the price a bit over $600, but should be a much nicer case with a solid PSU.

I use a PowMax case and psu, they're both really quite stable and look nice too for the combined price ($45.00). Pictured here.

Serves me just fine and those bright bars on the front can be turned off with a handy little button near the USB/FireWire ports. But if quiet and humble is your thing, there are some low-priced Antec cases that will suit you better.

Are you guys sure that the Abit NF7-S can overclock the barton 2500+ to around 2.2 Ghz or at least near it? All barton 2500+ unlocked? Does the NEC 2500A burn 8x on 4x media? This is the pioneer A07 that I can get for $89 OEM, one of my friend has this same burner(pioneer A07), but it can't seem to burn at 8x on 4x media.

the Abit NF7-S is one of the best overclocking boards out there. if you really want to overclock then get a mobile barton 2500+ which only about $13 more than a regular barton 2500+. i have the mobile 2600+ but there's not much difference between the two mobile bartons. a 2500+ mobile can overclock just as well as a 2600+. i'm running mine at 2500 Mhz with a 200 FSB x 12.5 multiplier at 1.85v aircooled.

" shady only has 256 meg listed. 512 is the minimum lately. "

Actually its $59 each, 2x256. That's also stated in the post.

I'm not a big fan of overclocking. My exeperience has been that it's great for 3 - 6 months, then your board is likely to become unstable. The speed just isnt sufficient to justify that to me.

Also, based on what you mentioned you have slated, you've already got $110 of the $600 allocated so I was shooting for just under $500, which is what that setup comes out to. If you pop a Radeon 9600 into it, you get a price of around $550 and you lose the VIVO. You gain the ability to run DX9 3-D games pretty well, but it's overkill for warcraft 3.

If your main purpose is to rip DVDs and CDs, you would be a lot better off spending the extra $100 on some kind of RAID or SCSI setup.
