HELP ME, BOOT TROUBLE

I have a epox mvp3g, and a amd k6-III+ 450. 256 mb of ram,
I have it all in my case and when i boot it up it does the memory test, and then it says "award bios version...." and where it should list the IDE devices it stops, so I can't enter the BIOS??? what is up>?

I have tried different combos of ram ,the ram is ok I know that. I dont have a floppy drive plugged in, but that shouldnt matter...
I'm lost plz help

its not overclocked.. its 450 at 450

Clear CMOS with any onboard jumpers (see manual for the right ones, hehe).

been there done that, thanks i found out that it is the cpu that is the problem.. i plugged in a k6-2 300 and it booted fine... is the amd k6-III+ 450 with the EPOX mvpgm5 or is the cpu busted???
