I've already done the math on the first link there :)

In the second link it mentions about the ratio being close to the 'golden ratio'. I wondered about that in the link that I posted, but though it too geeky to mention.
I wonder if this is true for different languages?
Anyone have any stats on vowel frequency for languages other than English?

Consonants. I went through a prety small dictionary I have, and there were about 190,000 vowels in it. There were about 310,000 consonants.
