Help, major lag on my lan games

I am trying to play empire earth over my lan. First comp is 192.168.0.1, 2nd comp is 192.168.0.2

Using all the win2k defualts for a lan, and the card is binded to netbeui and ipx and all that good stuff

I'm using a 10/100 5port switch and Intel pro 10/100 nics.

File sharing works just fine, but they games lag big time and players drop out after about 2 minutes.

Any ideas on what I can check?
