Help! Made a $100 bet with dad!!!!!!!! Help me prove him wrong!

We're watching the Red Sox game right now and on the wall behind the catcher, there's a green colored panel where advertisements are digitally put on. Meaning, there is no physical advertisement ON THE surface, but my dad INSISTS that I'm wrong!

You can see clearly see that it's digitally added on by the network because the color of the advertisement has no shadow, and the colores are unrealistically even and sharp. Also when there's a pitcher in the way, there's slight graphic debris around his figure.

I know I'm right, I just needed to prove it to him that he's wrong with some solid evidence. How can I prove him wrong? Are there any links regarding Boston Fenway park and using digital advertisements?

Real ads behind the catcher would be visually distracting for the pitcher. It's the same reason people don't sit in straightaway center field, it would be distracting for the batter/it would prevent the ball from being seen. Distractions suck.

You should find him some images of Indy races where they put drivers pictures and stats and such on the track.

Wait until they show a shot from one of the cameras isn't the main one. Just the other day they showed a shot behind the catcher with a video camera and it was just a blank green screen.

haha.. sounds to me like he's just making up excuses now.... Even though you're definetly right, i dont think he's going to let you win that 100.

there was a shot like that tonight too. look for closeups of the hitter or catcher.

Did you see that? They just showed a replay of Chavez hitting that grounder and the screen behind the catcher was green. The ad is only there when the pic is from the main (over the pitcher's shoulder) camera...

Click on solutions for television at the bottom right. In the "Select a product box, select "Virtual Signage/Insertion. This will define what their product is (virtual advertising). Then click on the schedule link above the pick of the olympics. Look for a game that you know was played at Fenway and check if virtual insertion was used during that game... Give me money

Yeah, never make bets with parents. They are absolutely not going to pay you when you prove them wrong, it's in the rules or something, but they will still expect you to pay up when they think they are right. It's not worth it. You will never win. Do not pass Go, do not collect anything, you lose.
