HELP! Lite-On 16/10/40 and CD Ripping

I just built a computer for a friend and was showing him all it could do when I went to rip a CD. Audio Catalyst 2.1 will only rip at 1X. I've used the program hundreds of times without any problem. Does anyone know of any incompatibilities with a Lite-On drive? I installed the OS from this drive as well as all the apps. It seems to do great. I have also burned a CD at 16X and it was awesome as well. The only problem I'm having is ripping a CD.

Also, I'm not opposed to using other programs, it's just it has to be easy for someone else to use. I don't want to have to support that too.

if I reme,ber correctly, you have the demo version, which i think only rips @ 1x. I have a 16x10x40 Plextor, so i just use their ripping software, but I heard that Nero has a good ripping decoder...
