Basically before I ran an audio wire to the line in port from my motherboard it was working fine, I was using window xp sp2. However, after I formatted my computer and got almost everything up and running again, the line in device is no longer working. Anyone here know what could be the problem? I am currently using Gigabytes DS3 motherovard.

I've had an experience where I reformatted to SP2 and my ethernet wouldn't work. Luckily I had a PCI ethernet card laying around. Found out something went weird when I installed the mobo drivers from the CD. But I went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded the updated drivers. I don't have to use the CD as a benefit whenever I reformat now, and the ethernet works now.
