My system locked up while resizing a partition using Partition Magic 5, now it appears to be unreadable. Does anyone know if/how I might recover the data?
Thanks

try booting off the emergency boot disk that you should have made when you installed it

No dice. PM spits back a seek error if I try to do anything. Interestingly it still shows the partition as the correct size, just that it has 0 bytes free... Looks like I lost the data. :(

Any error number with message? There is a master error list on their site that outlines what you can do to correct the problem.

Do you have the PqRp error....(I think that is the error) I got it during a move of a partition. I called the Tech support line and got a real nice guy to help me out. It was a simple fix, but I can't remember what he told me to do. I would call the tech support number and get help! They didn't charge me anything, all I needed was my disk ID number.

Problem solved! I wasn't able to make any corrections using any of Win2K's gui tools, but chkdsk /f resolved everything...
Thanks for the help, guys!
