Ok, I've never set up RAID before, and am trying to now.

I have:
60gig Seagate Barracuda 4 7200rpm ATA-100
45gig IBM 7200rpm ATA-100

I've followed the instructions carefully.
Set up both as masters on seperate IDE channels.

With just the seagate in, it gets detected by the RAID bios utilty.

If I put the IBM in as well....it freezes after the RAID Bios utility tries to detect the IDE drives.

I know it's not the IDE cable, or the IDE slot, which leaves only the HDD.

I formatted the IBM and set up a primary partition of 45gigs.

Any Ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

In order to use RAID, the drives must be identical (same make, model and capacity).
If you're trying to build an array with the drives you mentioned, it can't be done.
