My K7T-Pro2A died and I replaced it with a K7T-Turbo. Now my Radeon AIW won't work. I get as far as the light blue screen just before the signon comes on and then it freezes.

I assume I have mismatched drivers somewhere or a bad bios choice but I don't know what to try next

I tried just using my original hard drive but wound up with a corrupted file so I can't use that to compare.

Anyone have any ideas?
Any required bios settings?
I've looked through old threads but haven't spotted anything.

Here's what I'm trying to install. I've reformated and started over a few times already.
MSI K7T-Turbo-R
Bios 3.2
4in1 3.7 (agp, inf & ide filter)
Windows 2000, Service Pack 2
DirectX 8.0a or 8.1
AMD AGP register fix (long page) installed
ATI 3276 drivers (ATI recommended drivers)

I'm not sure what's causing your specific problem but I've heard of that happening. Try the rage3d.com forums. On another note though...scrap those sh*tty 3276 drivers and get yourself the 3286 drivers off the 8500DV CD (very important...there are multiple versions of 3286). Failing that, you can try the new 6018 drivers that are on rage3d.com's page. Both are substantially better than the 3276s for AIW users.

Thanks GL. I'll try over there as well.

Has anyone else succeeded (or failed) with this combo?

I'm afraid its some obscure bios setting or something.
