Help, Itunes ripping corrupts cd-drive

So I attempted to use the Itunes song burning function today only to find out that it corrupted my CD-Drive. The only known issue I've been able to find out is the upper registry bug which I did delete, however the problem still persists. My cd-drive will not recognize any CD's!!!

Buy a DVDRW drive ... they are like $30.

Also don't use itune for that , i suggest nero .
