I recently installed iTunes on my Win2000 machine, and was able to read, play, rip various audio CD's fine. Then i noticed I could not read any data CD's at all in my CDRW... not a single one. Explorer would just not reconnize the xistence of a data CD in the drive... pop in another audio CD and it sees the tracks fine, iTunes fires up and reads the audio...

has anyone come across this? am i missing something obvious here? pls help....

iTunes seems to be fairly bug-ridden when it comes to compatability with certain CD-ROM drives; we had a laptop at work that would play music & data CDs absolutely fine, but iTunes wouldn't rip music from the drive. Everything else would. In the end, the guy just bought an external CD-ROM drive to cure the problem.
