Any master of the SSD universe out there? Have a 2 month old Intel X-25M that is acting up on me. I rebooted last night Vista 64 and now the drive is showing size 0 in the bios. I obviously can not reboot or do anything with it. What happened here is the drive need to be RMAed or is there a fix out there they I do not know about. it does not show up on Vista when I reboot to the DVD and try to command line format it but the BIOS can see it and its configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What does it show on BIOS?? Does it show full capacity?? If it is you might have somehow fried the controller chip inside, but of course not fully. 😛

You might be able to flash the firmware, but I dont know if its even possible on these drives. If it was my drive tho, I'd just send it back and get a new one.

Thanks for the info and I RMA ed it. It has been acting funny for about 2 weeks and the write speeds have been really slow compared to when I first bought it. Something was obviously wrong but coming from the magnetic world I was not sure if there was something I did not know out there to fix it.
