Help - Intel 320 SSD Installation [Installed] : But doesn't show up in Windows!

I bought an Intel 320 SSD, and I can't figure out what I need to do for the power.

I got the SATA data cables connected.

For power, the cable I have looks like this (but from Foxxconn):

I get the black part connected to the back of SSD, but the white cable doesn't go in anywhere in the motherboard or PC that I can find. But I see other cables sticking out with end points similar to the black part above.

I bought an adapter from Amazon but that ended up being the exact same cable so it was of no use.

Any idea on what I need to buy to get the SSD powered up?

My motherboard is ASUS, P7P55D-E PRO, LGA1156, Intel P55, DDR3-2220 (O.C.) 16GB /4, PCIe x16 SLI CF /2, SATA 3 Gb/s RAID 5 /7, 6 Gb/s /2, USB 3.0 /2, HDA, GbLAN, FW /2, ATX, Retail

Here are cable ends I see sticking out in the PC:

The first pic is SATA to Molex adapter - you don't need it. The power cable you have in the 2nd pic is the one to use - just like the drive is connected below your SSD.

You're going to have to move the SSD back until it's even with the other drive, to allow access to the connector.

Thanks, i will try that out, the wire is pretty tight though.

Is there any kind of cable I can buy to connect the two?

Thanks again!

There are several connectors on each SATA cable from the PSU. You have to orient the cable so the L-shapes are the correct way, and you can hook quite a few drives on one cable.

You may need raise the SSD up vertically, if it's too close the cable will not really bend enough between the drives. How is it mounted, screwed in the HDD cage with an adapter?

I saw that the wires were tight because some of the wires were held by a plastic cord, I cut it and is now connected.

Now my issue is that the SSD shows up in BIOS, and on first reboot Windows installed the driver but SSD doesn't show up in Windows. It shows that it is there under Device Manager though, but I can't browse it.

Right now it is to be used for SWTOR/Other games. Misc. Storage will still be on my 1TB HDD.

I will eventually migrate my OS to it over new years vacation
