help in wireless network...

Hi, everybody:

I just bought a wireless adapter, Xircom CWE1130. And the router I am using is Netgear MR814. While after I plugged in the wireless card in my PCMCIA slot, it said there was no available network.

Could somebody help share some experience in setting up the wireless connection?

Depending on what you use this network for, and what kind of data is on your drives, you will strongly want to consider enabling WEP encryption.

It will slow your network down a bit, but it pretty much guaruntees that no one will be stealing your files/sharing your internet.
