This is what I have put together so far....

Kingwin-424-B-VM Case w/ 80mm Blowhole
ASUS P4C800 E Deluxe
P4 2.8C MO w/SP-94 Heatsink w/ 92mm Tornado Fan
Swiftech MCX159-P Chip Cooler for NB
Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS
2 WD 36.7 Raptors
Lite On LTR-52327S Black 52x32x52 CD-RW Drive, 2MB, OEM
LITE-ON XJ-HD166/XJ-HD 165H 16X DVD ROM Drive BLACK
MITSUMI D359M3 BLACK FDD 1.44MB 3.5INCH - OEM
ENERMAX Noisetaker EG475P-VE-SFMA. 470W
Hercules Radeon 9800 pro

Plan to overclock it and having a hard time on what memory to purchase. Want 2 * 512 dimms.

Here are choices I was planning on considering:

Mushkin 3500 Lvl 2
Corsair XMS 4000 Pro
OCZ 3700 Gold Revision 2
OCZ 4000 Gold
OCZ 4200 Gold

Plan on getting these 3 weeks from now and the Mushkin may no longer be available due to bh-5 chip is no longer being made. For the DDR500 memory and my 2.8c ill need to be capable of running at a raw 250 FSB. What are the chances of this and which memory would you recomend and why?

Any of the memories on your list will work great, since they are the best available. Remember though, with the P4's, you don't have to run your memory at 1:1 to get good performance. You could just buy some good, low-latency PC3200/3500, and run it at 5:4, and get nearly identical results in benchmarking, and exactly identical results in real-world use.

personally i wouldn't go with the pc3500 or the pc3700
the others should be noticeably faster especially on a P4 setup
the good thing about the mushkin pc3500 is it will take 2-2-2-6 latency timings where as most other ddr memories that dont' have the winbond chips tend to not be able to hold this speed
the pc3700 is kinda junk for that reason, but the others you listed should overclock pretty good

my mushkin maxes out at like 225 with any timings

also i don't know how much i trust ocz
you might wanna find some benchmarks and compare it to other pc4000 or higher brands

Wow! My Ultra will do 280 1:1 @2.5-3-3-5 on my friend's P4C.:D Too bad it won't do it with my Athlon, huh?:(

ocz pc3500 plat LE are good stuff as well

mine can do 250 mhz 1:1 @ 2-2-2-6

anything with bh-5 should do you well

you might want to consider kingston hyperX pc3200 or pc3000

anything that is marked KHX3200 w/o the A are bh-5's

zzf has them for 150ish for the bh-5s and 123 for the ch-5s

try to get the Mushkin 3500 Lvl 2 if it's still available, but if you really want to hit 250mhz 1:1 = 1000FSB then go with
OCZ 3700 Gold rev.2

--------------------------------------------------------
AMD Athlon XP T-Bred B 1700+ @ 2.3GHZ (1.75v) 400FSB = 3200+
Abit NF7-S V.2 (nforce 2 400U)
Corsair TwinX XMS 3200LL 512MB @ 2-3-2-6 (2.6v)
Sapphire Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB
Antec TrueBlue 480W
Thermalright SLK-947U with 92mm Vantec Tornado @2600RPM
Maxtor 91531U3 15GB
2x Western Digital WD400BB 40GB serials
Antec PlusView 1000AMG
Cambridge SoundWorks MegaWorks THX 550 5.1

Second that I can do 250 1:1 2-2-2-6 or what I usually run at 275 1:1 2.5-3-3-7 The extra 50mhz for the memory makes up for the timings.
