Help in installing laptop memory

Are there any precautions I have to take when installing notebook memory? I've built pcs before but have never opened up a laptop. The laptop I'm getting is the hp pavilion n5470, it comes with 256mb ram but I want to upgrade the sucker to 512mb. I can install the memory by myself correct? Without having to bring it to a dealer?

You can install it by yourself. Just unscrew the thing on the back, and pop it in. Make sure you wear an anti-static wrist thing, or use another method of staying static free.

You don't need to take the computer apart. There is a removable cover for the memory on the back of the machine.

i'm kinda surprised this is in the highly technical forum. my dad has an n5495 right now, all you do is pop off the two panels, and install the ram, its just like normal ram, except you pop it in at an angle.
