I have no idea what I'm doing. I've been in some other threads and they've been saying that they've OCed it pretty good with no problems, but nobody explains how to actually overclock a graphics card.

Is there a program I need to download? Jumpers that need to be adjusted? Are there jumperless settings? I know how to do it on a CPU, but how do I do it on a GPU?

If you do a search on the forum's past threads you will find a lot of info. There is actually an identical thread @ General Hardware, but nevermind. :) What you need is a third party program that will enable you to adjust the speed of the GPU and memory of your card. You can't do that with just the standar drivers. A few programs that will do that are Powerstrip, Coolbits and nVMax (I think that's what it's called).

You can enable the overclocking features of the standard nVidia reference drivers if you enable the coolbits option in the registry. That's what nVMax does I believe. So you don't have to use a separate program to do the actual overclocking, but those programs make it even easier and I know at least nVMax and Powerstrip both have tons and tons of features/tweaks that you can do to your card's settings to maximize performance/quality. :)

Let us know what you get'er up to! I'm trying to decide between a GF3Ti200 or a standard GF3 as a future graphics card upgrade (or maybe 3rd party Radeon 8500 *if* ATI gets decent drivers for once).
