Hi not sure if this is the correct place, but here goes.
About a week and a half ago, a server we have started having performance issues. The server is Windows 2008 R2, and has 16gb of ram. Only Backup Exec runs on this particular server. Company shares are on it as well.
The issue started when our Backup Exec time more then tripled 4 hours to 12 hours. Also apps and just general performance have gone to hell.
I look at task manager, and nothing stands out that using significant resources. I checked recent updates, but only security updates were installed, and cannot be removed. I turned off Windows Security Essentials, and that seemed to help, but the issue is persisting. I also ran the dell health check, and it didn't find any issues. Ran malware, and virus scanner and again nothing found. Restarted the PC and that helped only briefly.
I am about at the end of my rope, anyone have any ideas, or are there any programs out there you advanced guys use to help troubleshoot this issue?
