Need to know some other programs that might help me actualy identify my CPU. I've tried CPU-z and Everest, and they give me differant results..
It's an LGA775 engineering sample. At post it's identified as a genuine intel 6000mhz(yeah, thats realll likely). It's got multipliers unlocked from 14-60!!. 1mb of L2 cache, EM64T extensions, hyperthreading, and SSE3. Everest says it's a C1 prescott, CPUz says it's a Xeon Nonca 6ghz(yeah right!). Intel's own CPU id doesn't know what it is, I have the latest version installed(2.5) and it says to try a newer version. When I first tried to boot up, it tried to run at 273x60???!!!??? I am using an Abit AS8-V which supports 5xx series and 6xx series prescotts, but seems clueless what to do with this CPU. My 3.2ES ran fine, and was identified as a 3.2ES prescott by CPUz, everest, and Intel's CPU ID on this same motherboard. Any other CPU ID utilities that might help me figure out what this chip realy is?
