So my girlfriend has always talked about this video game she used to play as a kid (circa 1985), and I've been desperately trying to find it for her. Her memory, like mine, is pretty awful, so there aren't a lot of details. She says she owned an Atari, so I assume it was on that console. From her description, your character's goal is to collect various food items dropping. She's settled on the fact that these food items included french fries, strawberries, and milkshakes. There may be others, like hamburgers and hotdogs, but she's not 100% sure. Can anyone help?

I've already determined it's not Burger Time, Beef Drop, Food Fight, Plaque Attack, Mega Mania, Commander Keen, Bubble Bobble, Wonder Boy, Rootbeer Tapper, or Fast Food.

More details: Apparently the screen had food items of the same type (strawberries). As soon as you fulfilled the level requirement, the food items would change into a different type (french fries).

It really sounds like Fast Food to me.

This site has a HUGE list of old Atari console games with descriptions and screen shots so she can search the database for a description and/or a picture that looks familiar.

Fastfood
It's great fun for a while, but Fast Food's shallow gameplay won't keep you entertained for long. You guide a set of large, purple (?) chomping lips freely around the screen. Fast food items approach from the left, including sodas, hot dogs, hamburgers, milk shakes, pizza, french fries, and cheeseburgers (I'm getting hungry just typing this). Each item is rendered nicely in high-resolution detail. The single food you want to avoid is the purple pickles, because eating six of those ends your game. About four foods approach at a time, and for a while it's great fun munching on all this junk. Once you eat a certain number of items, the words "You're getting fatter" appear on the screen, signaling a new wave. The problem is, when you reach a certain point in the game (around 1000 points), the food comes so fast that you can't even avoid it. Fast Food would have been better if they threw out more items at a time instead of making them so fast. Another problem is the sound effects, which are among the most grating I've ever heard in a video game. Like real life, Fast Food tastes good at first, but doesn't offer much nutritional value. © Copyright 2004 The Video Game Critic.

I googled "atari pickup milkshakes"

I'm not ruling out the possibility that her memory is distorting the game to what it really is, but she's usually pretty good about identifying the game once she recognizes it. In any case, thanks for your help, guys.
