I used to play this game when I was a kid... but I have no idea what it was called. All I remember is that it's a motorcycle racing game. There were 3 bike models (a japanese gp racer type, a harley type, and another one). And as you drove along you could beat down the other drivers with a chain/whip or something. The game might've been in Japanese but I honestly have no idea.

Anyone possibly know wtf I'm talking about?

Edit: the game I played was functionally similar to Road Rash. But it was also more colorful/cartoony and didn't try at all to look real.

Also the perspective was from behind as in road rash.

Super Mad Champ, maybe?

It was a Super Famicom game (I'm pretty sure it wasn't released in the US), but you said it might have been in Japanese.

Whoa. You are a beast at obscure snes/famicom games. That is exactly it! THANKS :D

edit: sorry I didn't respond earlier... been busy with ending my summer job & moving back to cambridge.

edit2: As for the japanese part, when I visited my cousins in Taiwan, we often played games on their super famicom system. I also had a SNES disk drive that allowed me to play famicom games and copy snes/famicom games to floppies. So I knew that I played the game with a controller w/the snes layout, but I couldn't remember which system.
